IN PROGRESS: Ground-Truthed Ecological Communities of the Tennessee River Gorge as of June 1, 2015
Dave has been hard at work in the field these past few months! The results of his efforts are represented in this map of his plot samplings. Over time, the distinct communities will be refined and polished as more and more data is collected. Once complete, this data will serve to update the 1984 map produced by the Nature Conservancy. We will then be able to input our new-and-improved Ecological Communities data into the climate change model, which will lead to improved stewardship in the Gorge!
